Homemade Macaroni & Cheese

Ingredients:

8 C. water
1 T. salt
4 C. large elbow macaroni noodles
4 C. milk
6 T. flour
1/2 tsp. prepared mustard
1 C. cubed cheddar cheese (or more)
Salt & Pepper to taste

Directions:

Fill large pot with water and salt
Bring to boil, then add macaroni noodles
Return to boil and cook for 8 minutes on medium heat
Remove promptly from heat and drain noodles
Meanwhile blend milk, flour and prepared mustard, set aside
Cube cheddar cheese and set aside
After macaroni is drained, return noodles to pot with milk mixture
Add salt and pepper to taste
Cook, stirring constantly, until milk mixture thickens
Remove from heat and add cubed cheese (and hotdogs if desired)
For stringy cheese: let cheese sit 3-5 minutes before stirring
